Listening Excerise: NPR Feature on Global Warming

Global warming is affecting the Maldives more rapidly than any where else in the world. With the threat of these volcanic islands sinking into the ocean, their president took steps more than 20 years ago to help combat climate change. Below is a story from NPR done in 2008 about the islands effort to make a man made island higher than sea level, build walls around their capital city and save their land.
